Sylvester "Lil Zip" Nease Zipperer, Jr., 69, of Port Wentworth, GA, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Savannah, GA to the late Sylvester Nease Zipperer, Sr. and Margaret Levy Zipperer.  He had formerly worked at CSX Railroad, and retired from Jimco Services.  He was a sports enthusiast, always pulling for the Braves and Bulldogs.  He enjoyed playing softball, and had formerly played on the Port Wentworth United Methodist Church team.  He dearly loved his family and will be remembered for being a loving father and grandfather.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Justin & Crystal Zipperer, Derrick & April Zipperer; grandchildren, Megan & Brian Boucher, Addison Zipperer, Layla Zipperer, Koleman Zipperer, and Kylar Zipperer; great-grandchild, Beckham Boucher; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy & Marty Seckinger; niece, Kristin Seckinger; nephews, Blake Seckinger and Brooks Seckinger.

The visitation will be on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 7p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral will be on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Bethesda United Methodist Church located at 3608 Midland Road, Guyton, GA with Rev. Randy Nease and Rev. Paul Broussard officiating.  The burial will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA
