Port Wentworth – Sylvia "Sibby" Regina Ricks, 73, passed away October 18, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

The Chatham County native was a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Maggie Webb Ricks; first husband, David Altman, Sr.; son, Richard Altman; siblings, Lula Worthy (Aulby), Jennie Johnson (Ray), and Pat Fraser.

Survivors include her husband, David Rush; children, David Altman, Jr. (Melissa), Brian Altman (Tiffany), Patrick "Tommy" Altman, Sr.,  Tina "Shell" Altman (Grant Fleetwood); daughter-in-law, Lena Altman; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Harley, Evelyn McEhaney (Wilburt), Larry Ricks (Becky), Gary Ricks; her caregiver and close friend, Kelly Lane; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the funeral home.

No formal services will be held.
