Rev. Sylvian Earl Wallace, 72, of Guyton, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Hospice Savannah.
He was born in Montgomery, AL to the late Julian & Doris Wallace. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He had previously farmed, served as a police officer and had driven a truck, but his heart was for serving the Lord. He became a minister and founded Mercy Point Ministries. He had a nursing home ministry, visited hospitals and had served on mission trips.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, JoAnn Smith Wallace; children, Leah Wallace Burnsed, Catherine Wallace Driggers (Billy) and Curtis Brent Wallace; grandchildren, Megan Driggers, Fox Burnsed, Makenzie Driggers and William Wallace; siblings, Wayne Wallace, Bettie Sapp, Judy Bennett and John P. Wallace as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
