Obituary
Mr. Talmadge C. Zipperer, 77, of Port Wentworth, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Zipperer was a member of New Life Worship Center, past President of the Effingham Hunting Club and a member of the Marine Rescue Squadron.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mrs. Jackie Zipperer; sons, Chris Zipperer and Mark (Judy) Zipperer; brother, Alfred Zipperer; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation was on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral to honor Mr. Zipperer's life was on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Flippo and Brother Buck Ormston officiating. Active pallbearers were Jimmy Zipperer, Scott Kerner, Ronnie Cooper, Buck Ormston, Buddy Stewart and David Key. Honorary Pallbearers were Frank Hendricks, Charles King, Jack DeLoach, Tommy Thomas and members of the New Life Worship Center Senior Adult Sunday School Class. Burial followed at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
