Tammy Lynn Johson, 61, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Memorial Hospital.
She will be missed by her husband of 32 years, James Walter Johnson; she was a loving mother to Amber Lynn Johnson; daughter to Shirley Ann Lewis, and a sister to Michael Lewis (Marsha), Billy Lewis (Pam), Pat Pickering (Bob), and Craig Lewis.
Tammy was born in Savannah, Georgia and grew up in Port Wentworth, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Lewis, Sr. She had been a teacher for a number of years at the Savannah Association for the Blind, and she was a Baptist. She was a great friend to many, and a protector of animals, especially in the latter years with rescuing cats.
The visitation will be on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral to honor Tammy's life will be on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Westside Memorial Gardens.
For the visitation and funeral, the family request that attendees do not wear black clothing, wear happy colors, especially blue.
