Teresa Ann Calhoun Weaver
Springfield – Teresa Ann Calhoun Weaver, 86, passed away January 28, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Teresa was a devoted wife and mother, who looked for ways to serve others daily. Whether it was cooking, visiting, sending cards, or simply showing acts of kindness, Teresa showed others the love of Jesus in her everyday life. Teresa loved spending time with her family and was a mentor to younger women of faith. She was quite a prayer warrior!
As a very young teen, Teresa began playing the piano for her father's quartet. She continued playing the remainder of her life in church. She was an active member of Fellowship Bible Church, where she played the piano well into her 80's. She always said she would play as long as the Lord would allow her. Teresa also enjoyed a weekly game of dominos with "The Girls".
No matter what was going on around her, Teresa consistently put others ahead of herself. She followed Christ's example of servanthood in every aspect of her life. She was a true blessing to everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 67 years, Charles Malcolm (Mac) Weaver; children, Belinda Hodges, Mark Lewis Weaver (Kim), and Timothy Malcolm Weaver; grandchildren, Tara Hodges Lamb (Shane), Wade Christopher Hodges (April), Christie Weaver McCullough (Chip), and Caren Weaver Jones (Forrest); 13 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Dewey Sikes; sister-in-law, Miriam Jordan; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fellowship Bible Church.
Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
Remembrances may be given to the charity of your choice or to Fellowship Bible Church.
