TERESA FAY ENNIS

Teresa Fay Ennis, a child of God, entered this world on June 8, 1970. She departed this life to a better place on February 20, 2015.
Her family and many friends will hold in their hearts the memory of her courage throughout her life.
She is survived by her twin sister Aretha Reece and Aretha's daughters Christy and Stephanie, her sister Rebecca Brown and Rebecca's daughter Jennifer Brown, her brother Jeff Ennis and her longtime friend and citizen advocate for twenty two years, Louisa Abbot. Teresa's parents, Hartridge Porter Ennis and Myrtice Hendrix Ennis, and her brother Ricky Ennis predeceased her. The Ennis family took Teresa and her twin sister into their family when they were infants and raised them lovingly in Guyton, Georgia.
Teresa was a proud graduate of Bulloch County High School. She fondly remembered the time she spent at Warm Springs, Georgia.
The story of her life appeared in the book, One Person at a Time, written by Adam Hildebrand.
She almost never went anywhere without a Bible in her backpack or pocketbook.
Teresa was wise, feisty, lovable and easily amused. She greeted every encounter with people as a gift and never failed to ask: "Are you okay?"
The memorial service to celebrate Teresa's life will be on February 28, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 2460 Highway 21 South, Rincon, Georgia. Family and friends will gather for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a contribution in Teresa's memory may consider doing so to Chatham Savannah Citizen Advocacy, 517 East Congress Street, Savannah, Georgia 31041 or to Memorial Health Foundation, designated for the Children's Hospital, c/o Phoenicia Miracle, P.O. Teresa's life has been a testament to the human spirit's ability to endure hardship. Her smile lit up our lives.
