Teresa Marie Gilder Edenfield

Meldrim – Teresa Marie Gilder Edenfield, 62, passed away September 21, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

The California native was a homemaker, she loved being outdoors and spending time at the river. She had a love of serving others, enjoyed cooking, listening to music, but her greatest love was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Gilder; siblings, Tomalee Gilder, Timralee Gilder, and Jay Gilder; and grandson, Zack Norton.

Survivors include her children, Toby M. Edenfield (Amber), Rey Edenfield (Amy), Daniel Edenfield (Kristen Conner), Nick Edenfield, Theresa Davis (Brian), and Alexis Helmly; her mother, Judith Gilder; her partner, Richard Semmler; grandchildren, Avery, Noah, Makenzie, Chase, Emily, Dawson, Grayson, Garrison, Damien, and Oaklyn; brother, Greg Gilder (Kelly); sister, Amber Smith; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026 followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. in the chapel at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel, 2460 Hwy. 21 S., Rincon, GA 31326. 912-754-6421
