Teresa Whitfield Riner, 64, passed away peacefully at her home in Bloomingdale, Georgia on June 10, 2025.  Born on September 17, 1960, in Savannah, Georgia, Teresa was a lifelong resident of the area and a proud native of Pooler.  She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Randi LeAnn Whitfield, and her father, Randolph Whitfield.  She is survived by her loving mother, Josephine Whitfield; her devoted children, Kira Bevill (Scott), Josh Riner (Caitlin), Jacob Riner (Keiley), and her three cherished granddaughters, Bella, Zoey, and Riley.  Teresa grew up in Pooler and graduated from Groves High School in 1978.  With her radiant blonde hair and kind nature, she was affectionately known as the true definition of a "Pooler Girl."  She built a career in the shipping industry and later worked as an administrative assistant at Gulfstream Aerospace.  However, Teresa's greatest joy came from her role as a mother and grandmother.  Her heart was fullest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren - watching them grow, laugh, and thrive.  She took immense pride in their accomplishments and loved them with a depth that defined her entire life.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home - WEST CHATHAM CHAPEL in Pooler at 2 p.m.  Visitation will take place prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m.  Teresa will be remembered for her grace, warmth, and unwavering love for her family.  Her legacy will live on in the lives of those she loved so deeply.  Thomas C.
