In Loving Memory: Terrell (Terry) G. Johnson Sr. (The Horse Man) 76 of Bloomingdale, GA. On January 30, 2024, the Bloomingdale community bid a fond farewell to Terrell (Terry) G. Johnson Sr., a beloved figure affectionately known as "The Horse Man." Terry's journey may have reached its earthly end, but his legacy of love, laughter, and devotion lives on in the hearts of those who were touched by his warmth. Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sharon Shearouse Johnson, who stood by his side through a lifetime of shared joys and challenges. He is also survived by his son, Terry Jr., and daughter-in-law Layla Johnson, as well as his daughter, Sheri, and son-in-law Chad Scott. Also there to many more family members, and "adopted" family members to mention. A proud patriarch, Terry was blessed with grandchildren who were the apple of his eye: Lindy and Tori Johnson, Chandler Scott, Zane Scott, Gauge Scott, Katlynn Johnson, and great-grand Nora Johnson. His joy expanded with the arrival of his second great-grandchild, Luke Johnson, a source of immense happiness in his later years. Terry's journey was preceded by those he held dear: his father Auther Gibbs Johnson, mother Adelene (Mammy) Johnson, sister Betty Byrd, and son Shane Johnson. Their memory accompanies him into the next realm. Terry's love for horses was not merely a passion; it was a way of life that enriched the lives of all who knew him. Whether in the stables, operating a piece of equipment, surrounded by family, or helping others discover the joy of equestrian pursuits, he left an indelible mark on the community. As we mourn the physical absence of The Horse Man, let us celebrate a life well-lived—a life of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love. Terry's spirit will forever gallop through the fields of our memories, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. The visitation will be on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale located at 2 East Moore Street. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Thomas C.
