Obituary

Hardeeville, SC-Mr. Terrell Luther (T.L.) Ray, 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, after a short illness, surrounded by his loved ones.
T.L. was born on May 28, 1939 in Tattnall County, GA. T.L. was preceded in death by his parents, Carl "Coot" & Allene; a son, Rodney; a granddaughter, Nicole and a sister, Joyce Todd. T.L. moved to South Carolina in 1965 where he raised his family and owned and operated Ray's Garage and Diesel Service for 39 years. He enjoyed fishing, stock car racing, traveling to bluegrass festivals and the mountains in his RV, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church and was an avid gardner.
T.L. is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorcas; sons, Timmy (Wendy) of Hardeeville and Kevin (Kim) of Beaufort; five grandchildren, Danny (Lauren), Brandon, Olivia, Danielle (Randy) and Ashley; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Rylan and Leah; siblings, Annette (Charlie), Judy (Jody), Doylene (Philip), Faye (Jimmy), Larry (Vaunda Faye) and Bobby. T.L. will be missed by many, including countless cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with the burial to follow at 4 p.m. at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery located at 8882 GA Hwy. 144 in Glennville, GA.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Coastal Carolina Medical Center for the care they provided to T.L.
