Mr. Terry Lafayette Hill, Sr., 65, of Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Riverview Health and Rehab.

Terry was born in Detroit, MI to the late Marion "Papa Hill" & Grace Tilley Hill.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gregory "Peanut" Hill, and a nephew, David. Terry learned the refrigeration business with his father as a young man and eventually opened The Hill Company.  He was an avid drag racer and at the pinnacle of his career was ranked 5 ^th in his class in the country.  He loved working on his race bikes, building hot rods and spending time on the water with his friends.  Continuing his passion for racing he started H & R Racing and later Lafayette Racing.  He was a great storyteller and loved to Accentuate the details.  He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Terry Hill, Jr. (Skebo) (Tammy) of South Guyton, Amber Gilbert of City League, TX and Cory Hill of Ellabell; a grandson, Pfc Jacob Long IV of Anchorage, AK; brothers, Michael of Winter Park, FL, Richard of Baltimore, MD, Kenneth (Tad) of Daufuskie Island, Marion, III (Stinky) of Byron, Chris of Norcross, Johnny Randall of Savannah and Bobby Randall of Atlanta; sisters, Paula Horka (Phil) of Byron, Cindi Kirkpatrick of Macon and Becky (JJ) Hill of Gray; eight nieces and nephews; thirteen great nieces and nephews, many cousins and extended family.  The family would especially like to thank James (Booger) & Liz Anderson for all of their support and help, as well as Moneak, Parnell, Amari, Linda, Cathy, Yvonne, Tiffany and Sam from Riverview Health and Rehab, who went above and beyond caring for Terry.

The visitation will be on Saturday, November 23 ^rd from 3 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the memorial service to follow at 5 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
