Rincon – Terry James Purvis, Jr. "T.J.", 27, passed away January 8, 2026 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

The Chatham County native graduated from South Effingham High School in 2017.  He was a supervisor with Jake Patrick & Son Plumbing Company, enjoyed gaming, but above all loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry James Purvis, Sr. and Michelle Lynn Miracle.

Survivors include his fiancé, Sarah Evelyn Marie Cranman; his son, Terry James Purvis, III "Trace"; siblings, Laura Griffin (Jay), Amber Purvis, Sheena Creek (Cody), Blaire Henderson (Scott), and Jeremy Swagert; grandparents, Ray and Vickie Miracle; nieces and nephews, Hayden Purvis, Kearston Griffin, Jorden Purvis, Kayden Roberson, Adysen Griffin, Savanah Henderson, Crew Creek, Lynnleigh Creek, and Jeremy Wayne Swagert, Jr.; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Guyton Cemetery.
