Obituary
Pooler-Mrs. Thelma Jean Howard, 69, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Thelma was born in Clinch County to the late John & Verda Mae Jordan. She was a member of South Newington Baptist Church. She retired from Gastroenterology Consultants of Savannah, and worked in the medical field for 30 years. After retirement she enjoyed being a part time driver for the Avis/Budget Group, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Kenneth "Tom" Howard; sons, Ron (Beth) Howard, and Kenny (Leigh) Howard; grandchildren, Brandi Howard (deceased), Brittany Howard, Crystal (Shaun) Bloom, and Josie Howard; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Fagge, Louise Wilson, and Carolyn (Warren) Fox; brother, Charles (Edna) Jordan, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery in Chatham County.
