Mr. Thomas Edward Bessent

Pooler-Mr. Thomas Edward Bessent, 60, died on Friday, September 14, 2007 at
Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Mr. Bessent was born in Chatham County to the late James H. & Eileen M. Bessent and
was raised in Thunderbolt. He was a member of the Ironworkers Local 709, the Alee
Temple, was a Mason with Solomon's Lodge in Savannah and was a sports fanatic.
He was a loving father, grandfather, a hard worker and provider for his family.

Survivors include his daugher, Lorie Hendley of Pooler; son, Michael E. Bessent of
Gainsville; brother, Joseph Daniel Bessent of Richmond Hill; sister, Judy Wilmarth of
Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Michael-Christopher Bessent, Layton Bessent and
Larkin Bessent and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to honor Mr. Bessent's life will be at 6:30 on Monday in the Thomas C.
Strickland & Sons Funeral Home Chapel.

Remembrances may be given to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point
Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
