Brooklet- Thomas William Woods, 57, passed away on January 14, 2023 in his residence surrounded by his loved ones after battling a long illness.

Born in Savannah, GA to Clarence and Temperance Woods on August 29, 1965, Thomas was an avid seaman and outdoorsman. At a young age Thomas began working with Steve Ansley in marine construction and later went on to own his own marine construction business serving people of the Coastal Empire. He retired after 35 years in the trade only to become a small business owner a second time, opening Woods Utility Buildings in Rincon which he operated with his oldest daughter and then with his wife, Nancy. Thomas was a simple and hard-working man who loved to help people. Thomas valued honesty and was always willing to help those in need. He loved being on the river fishing, and carrying on his family tradition of shrimping and crabbing. He loved his home, his family and most of all, his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Julius Woods, Jr.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 38 years, Nancy; daughters Tina Forrest (Robert) and Tammy Jones (Brandon); grandchildren, William, Luke, and Laura Forrest, Eli, Atticus, and Olive Jones; his mother, Temperance Woods; siblings, Jack Woods (Pat), Ellen Durden (Randy), Julia Wise (Hershel), Theresa Simmons (Johnny), Lillie Tysinger (Alan), and Charles Woods; and a number of nieces and nephews.
