Springfield – Thomas Eugene Wright, 71, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Memorial Health.
Born February 7, 1944 in Smithland, KY he was a U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard Veteran, and active member of the American Legion Post #209. He was active in the Springfield Senior Citizens Center and was an active resident of Syl-View nursing home. He was employed with Grumman, Cape Kennedy Space Center for 24 years and Sisson Scales for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcalene and Charley D. Wright; and brother, Kenneth Wright.
Survivors include his wife, Linda McBryde Wright; children, Franny (Rick) Robertson, Randy (Patsy) McBryde, Billy (Elizabeth) McBryde; mother, Wanda Wright; brothers, Chuck (Debbie) Wright, Danny (Cindy) Wright, Randy (Jennifer) Wright; grandchildren, Rick Robertson, Jorden Robertson, Warren (Melissa) McBryde, Alyssa (Alex) Long, B.J (Ashby) Rush, Erica McBryde, Marie (Wesley) White; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Grace, and Steven.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
