Obituary

Timothy Mark Butler "Tim", 58, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 28, 2017.
Timothy was born in Savannah and was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Carroll Butler. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed with the City of Garden City as the Maintenance Facility Coordinator.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche Butler; daughters, Christian Butler and Hillary Edenfield; mother, Carolyn Scott Butler; sister, Kimberly Butler Tice; step-children, Don Walden, Michelle Simpson, Jennifer Edenfield, and Katie Draeger; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Draeger; nieces, Ashley Bashlor and April Williams; a great nephew; two great nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved dog, Bella. Tim was dearly loved and will be missed very much. He was a humble gentleman, very compassionate, a care free individual who loved helping folks. He loved growing up in Port Wentworth, and made it his lifetime home.
The funeral has been rescheduled to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth located at 402 Pinehurst Place. Tim will lied in state from 12 until 1 at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be former players from the 70's and 80's FBC of Port Wentworth Men's Softball Team, and the Garden City mayor, members of city council as well as city employees. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery
