Obituary

Mrs. Tiny S. "Peggy" Cook, 83, of Faulkville, died on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the
Avalon Health & Rehab Center in Newnan.

Mrs. Cook was born in Toombs County to the late Charlie & Ronne Smith. She was also
preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph D. Cook, Sr. and a son, Rudolph D. "Randy"
Cook, Jr. She was a member of the Powers Baptist Church and had volunteered at the
Effingham County Extended Care Facility. She retired from F.W. Woolworth's and
Wal-Mart.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas & Sharon Cook of Rainsville,
AL; daughter and son-in-law, Susan & Aaron Burnsed of Newnan; grandchildren, Elliott
& Claire Burnsed of Newnan, Keith & Amy Burnsed of Bloomingdale, Stephanie &
Richard Cook of Pembroke, Angela & Bobby Vangiller of Statesboro and Toni & Mark
Bender of Valdosta; twenty-four great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Walker of
Tallahassee, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation for Mrs. Cook will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the
Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.

The funeral to honor Mrs. Cook's life will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10,
2008 at the Powers Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Cowart officiating. Pallbearers will
be Elliott Burnsed, Keith Burnsed, Kennon Burnsed, Leslie Peavy, Mike Peavy and
Jimmy Scott. Burial will follow at the Powers Baptist Church Cemetery.
