Guyton- Todd A. Wert, 47, passed away, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Effingham Hospital.

Todd will be remembered for his strength and goodness, his boisterous personality, and was always true to himself and others. He was incredibly giving and always willing to help others.

Beyond his own family he was especially involved in the Effingham baseball community for over 10 years. Todd was dedicated to the players providing them the encouragement and support they deserved. His love for the players went beyond the field. Todd was truly their number one fan.

Todd had a passion for golf, from being an amateur golf pro to being a golf superintendent at Crosswinds Gold Course.

He is survived by his wife, Kristen Heyn Wert; sons, Zachary Parker Wert, Jackson William Wert, and Clayton Russell Wert; his mother and step-father, Susan Schumacher Weidner and Clinton Roy Weidner Jr.; father, Robert Wert; and two sisters, Elizabeth Kingsley Lucas and her husband, William Lucas II and Tammia Ann Zimmerman.

A tribute gathering will be held 5:30 – 7 pm Tuesday, August 31, 2021 Centerpoint Community Church, 2160 Hwy. 21 S., Springfield, GA 31329.
