Port Wentworth-Mr. Tom E. Fussell, 72, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Tom was born in Sale City, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin & Nancy Bell Fussell; brother, Malcolm Fussell; sisters, Nancy Lanier, and Bessie Fussell. He served as Chief of Police for the City of Camilla for several years, and retired from the Georgia Ports Police Department. He enjoyed sports, fishing, and working in his yard.
Survivors include three sons, Brian (Angie) Fussell, Bruce (Suzanne) Fussell, and Tommy (Anna) Fussell; grandchildren, Emma, Jake, Gill, Eden, Zack, Will, Eli and Seth; siblings, Sue Condrey, Janice Maddox, Judy Newton, and Margaret Lane, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral and burial will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Akridge Cemetery in Camilla.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to the Police Benevolent Association of Georgia, 2155 Highway 42 South, McDonough, GA 30252.
