Guyton – Tonas Elias Goros, Sr. "Greek", 78, passed away September 12, 2024 at Candler Hospital.
Born January 13, 1946 in Savannah, GA he loved fishing, shooting, and the History Channel. He retired from Gulfstream after 36 years of service, was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Sylvania, GA, and a member of the Guyton Historical Preservation Committee. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Dorothy Goros; wife, Linda Goros; brothers, Danny Goros and Jackie Goros; and sister, Gina Taglioli.
Survivors include his children, Deanna Vazquez (Orlando), Tonas Goros, II, Tonia Goros (Loren), and Timothy Goros (Sheri); sisters, Donna Thorne, Katina Borkowski, and Brenda Kelley; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Christopher (Brittany), Bradley (Faith), Daniel, Caleb, David, Josiah, Isaac, Benjamin, Jospeh, Rachel, Michelle, Neal, Benji, Lacey, Mikki (Scott), Hayden, Story, Paige (Presley), Kayson, Nikolai, Sarah Cate (Matt), Mary Grace (Weston), Matthew, Blaine, Anna Cate, Taylor, Victoria, and Waylon; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Memorial Baptist Church, 126 Mock Street, Sylvania, GA 30467.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund.
