Mr. Travis William Yeomans, 94, of Garden City, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
Mr. Yeomans retired as a boilermaker from the Local Union 26 and a superb welder. He was a member of Bloomingdale Church of the Nazarene for 46 years as well as a member of the Richard C. Turner Masonic Lodge for over forty years. Travis will be remembered for his love of his wife, family and church family. Travis was an avid swimmer who loved boating and anything involving the water and he loved gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clifford Yeomans; five sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife of 78 years, Mildred Yeomans; daughters, Gail Watts, Barbara Griffin (Alton), and Joyce Stafford (Rodney); grandchildren, Terry Douberley (Dale), Tony Watts (Erin), Cindy Farmer (Corey), Lee Griffin and Justin Stafford (Amanda); 8 great grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Ted Tedder and Rev. Ric Thompson officiating. The pallbearers will be Alton Griffin, Lee Griffin, Rodney Stafford, Justin Stafford, Dale Douberley, and Tony Watts.; honorary pallbearers will be Fred Tedder, Jack Love, Jr., Norman Chapman, Dylan Redding, Corey Farmer, Colton Farmer and Carson Farmer. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bloomingdale Church of the Nazarene, "Building Fund", 1116 East Hwy 80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302.
