Tyler Lee Sherrod, 25, of Bloomingdale, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Tyler was born in Savannah and was an insulator with Local Union # 96. He was kind hearted and would do anything for anybody, putting others first in front of himself. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vicki Burnsed. He loved racing and started with his grandfather at a young age. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, as well as hunting.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Lara & Billy Newsome; father and step-mother, Lee & Amy Sherrod; step-mother, Maggie Sherrod; fiancé, Taylor Price; siblings, Tori & Lindy Johnson, Logan Sherrod, Brandon Collins, Gage Newsome, Riley Clifton, Wade Sikes and Austin Sikes; niece, Nora Sherrod; grandparents, Clem Burnsed, Jr., Don & Barbara Sherrod, and Patsy Sherrod; several cousins, aunts and uncles, including Jamie Lynn Swinson. He was loved by many and will be missed deeply.
The visitation will be on Monday, April 9 th from 6 until 8 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
The funeral will be on Tuesday, April 10 th at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
