Valerie Susan Jarriel, 64, of Meldrim, GA, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at her home.

Susan was a member of Meldrim United Methodist Church and retired from Memorial Health University Medical Center.  She was a breast cancer survivor of 55 years.  She enjoyed doing needlepoint and loved her dogs.

Survivors include her children, Kristina Scott (Chris), Adam Quinan (Phillip Queen), Craig Medd, and Samantha Medd; grandchildren, Kyle and Christian; parents, Bernie and Edith Jarriel; sister, Kay Riley (Richard); brother, Bernie Jarriel, Jr. (Tammy); several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim with Rev. Derek Hobbs officiating.  The family requests that all in attendance plan on wearing a mask.
