Mrs. Vanessa A. Payton, 71, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 at her home.

Vanessa was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Lester Bedgood and Marlene Bedgood.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and dancing when she was younger.  She was a dog lover, and loved her dog, Porsche.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Robert E. Payton, as well as her siblings, Grace Lunsford (Greg), Marsha Shadley, Janice Covington, Joan Rowan, Helen Zapata (Manfredo), and Denise Aduku (Destiny), as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  The memorial service to honor Vanessa's life will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
