Vera P. Patterson
Rincon – Vera P. Patterson, 87, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Memorial Health.
Born in Bucks County, PA on December 13, 1927 to Stanley and Helen Giese Psonak. She graduated from high school in Clanton, AL where she met David, her husband of 50 years. They moved to Rincon 43 years ago where she worked for Coastal Water and was a homemaker. She was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church where she was the 1st recipient of the Gartland Award. She was active in the Springfield Garden Club, loved flowers and the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David Harold Patterson, Sr., and son, David Harold Patterson, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Mat Carmichael of Guyton; daughter-in-law, Becki Patterson and Steven Hill of Rincon; grandson, Alex and Brittney McCord; granddaughter, Michelle and Michael Brown; 2 great-grandchildren, Abby Brown and Brantley McCord.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church followed by funeral services at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to St. Boniface Catholic Church Debt Reduction, 1952 Hwy. 21 S., Springfield, GA 31329.
