Mr. Vester "Ray" Cone, 82, of Rincon, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at his home.

He was born in Rocky Mount, NC to the late Vester Mae & Zettie Whitley Cone.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Adjadine Cone Christenberry, Thomas Lee Cone, Oliver Mae Cone, and Lucy Lucille Narron.  He was a 42 year member of Living Faith Church of God, where he had taught Sunday school and was a member of the Pastor's Council.  He served his country in the United States Air Force, and retired from the United States Postal Service.  He sang in a number of quartet's, enjoyed wood working, cooking, and working in the garden.  He will be remembered most for being a Godly man who believed the scriptures, and taking care of his wife and children.

Survivors include his wife, Iris Patricia Cone; his children and their spouses, Alton Ray Cone & Donna, Lydene Fiocca & John, Tammy Turner & Mark; grandchildren, Dayanne Fort & Michael, Chad Turner & Sydnee, Ashley Turner & Taylor, Ashton Cone & Alyssa, Meagan Warnock & Kris; great-grandchildren, Owen & Wyatt Fort, Ronan Turner, Kinley, Sadie & Skylar Turner, Jeremiah & Kristopher Warnock; brother, Ernest Wayne Cone and sister, Lavonne Kirkman, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The outside visitation will be on Thursday, May 21 ^st from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler.

The Celebration Service to honor Ray's life will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22 ^nd at Living Faith Church of God located at 3789 Noel C. Conaway Road, Guyton, GA.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
