Guyton-Mrs. Violet Tillman Buckner, 91, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Mrs. Violet was born in Savannah to the late Benjamin & Vivian Tillman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ratchford P. "Buck" Buckner; her sister, Barbara Jenkins, and a great- granddaughter, Stacy Atkinson. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rene' & John Atkinson, and Cindy & Dave Kidd; grandchildren, Jamie & Lisa Atkinson, Mitzi & Kenny Salter, Whitney Dasher & Alex, and Anson & Lindsey Dasher; great-grandchildren, Mason & Kolton Salter, and Gage & Evie Dasher.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church located at 121 Noel C. Conaway Road in Guyton. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
