Violet Jean Hendrix
Savannah, GA – Violet Jean Hendrix, 89, passed away December 18, 2017 at The Place at Pooler.
Jean was a native of Bulloch County, the daughter of Clarence Hendrix and Sweetie Hodges Hendrix. She attended public schools in Bulloch County and later attended Draughon's Business College when she moved to Savannah.
Jean was a member of the Savannah Primitive Baptist Church and most recently attended Faith Primitive Baptist. She worked 8 ½ years at Warren A. Candler Hospital, followed by a 29 year banking career at First Atlanta (now Wells Fargo Bank), retiring in 1990. She was a volunteer with the Candler Auxiliary of St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital for 21 years.
Survivors include two cousins, Scarlett C. Thayer (Russ) of Clemson, SC and Jimmy (Patsy) Clayton of Springfield, GA. Close friends Mary Lynch and family of Guyton, GA also considered Jean a member of their family.

Graveside services will be at Bonaventure Cemetery/Greenwich Section on December 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dean Robbins officiating.
