Violet W. (Rieske) Lamprecht
Rincon – Violet W. (Rieske) Lamprecht, 90, passed with her family around her on Thursday, February 7, 2013.
Born on January 2, 1923 in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, to Louis & Margaret Rieske. Violet was married to her sweetheart, Berny for 50 years before the Lord called him home in 1995. They raised 5 children in a loving and caring home in Ohio before they moved to Georgia in 1975. Violet loved all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, she loved her sisters and brothers and their children, and always took an interest in their lives.
She was the family historian and remembered birthdays and anniversaries for all the family, keeping a family history book for many years. Violet enjoyed crafts, sewing, camping with her husband, collecting recipes from anywhere she could find them or someone to share a recipe with. She baked the best apple pie you'll ever eat, and passed her talent down to her children and grandchildren. Violet loved sitting on the patio in the warm weather and listening to the breeze blowing thru the trees. Always there to lend an ear and spend time with friends and family, planning family dinners and outings with family. She was a member of Rincon First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Lamprecht; parents, Louis & Margaret Rieske; brothers, Harold, Louis, and Earl Rieske; sisters, Margaret Rodgers, Hazel Tompkins, and Fairy Rodgers.
Violet leaves behind her son, Harold (Kathy) Huntsburg, OH, daughter Shirley (Larry) Sherwood, Rincon , son, Kenneth Lamprecht, Rincon, daughter, Margaret (Carl) Behum, Cleveland, OH, son Daniel (Cindy) Mt. Airy, NC; her grandchildren, Sherry Cielock, Rincon, Donna Bartley (Dave), Rincon, Mark Lamprecht (Dawn), Atlanta, Gretchen Behum, Cleveland, OH, and Aaron Lamprecht, Rincon; great-grandchildren, Brandi Cielock, Rincon, David & Daniel Bartley, Rincon; one brother, Gordon Rieske, Ft. Myers, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
