Guyton – Virginia Davis Best, 68, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at her home.

The Effingham County native was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. She graduated in 1974 from Effingham County High School and in 1982 from Savannah Technical School.  She loved children and babysitting, and was called "Gin Gin" by the children.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Everette & Eva Davis; her husband, Johnnie Best, Jr.; and her son, John Douglas Best.

She is survived by her son, Benjamin D. Best; sisters, Loraine Claxton (Thomas), Mary Davis, and Linda Alexander (Jeff); her brother, Vernon E. Davis (Jo); and niece and nephews.

Visitation: 10 – 11 am Monday, July 1, 2024 at Sand Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral: 11 am Monday, July 1, 2024 at Sand Hill Baptist Church.

Interment: Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery
