Virginia Morgan Burns Wilson

Springfield - Virginia Morgan Burns Wilson, 90, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at
Effingham Extended Care.

The Effingham County native was a member of Fellowship Bible Church of Effingham,
the Effingham County Farm Bureau, and the Coastal Empire Cattlemen's Club. She
retired from Springfield Tractor Company. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Clyde and Mattie Morgan; brother, C.B. Morgan, husbands, Bruce George Burns and
Perry Rudolph Wilson; son Laverne Burns; and daughter-in-law, Margie Burns.

Survivors include her sons, Ronald Burns and Donny (Leette) Burns both of Springfield;
step-daughter, Rachel (Ellis) Wilson of Springfield; step-sons, Charles (Patsy) Wilson of
Savannah, Varnie (Priscilla) Wilson and Wendel (Patricia) Wilson both of Springfield;
sister, Jennie Ruth Carrigg of Sylvania; sister-in-law, Freida Morgan of Savannah; 26
grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m Sunday at Strickland Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, at Fellowship Bible Church of Effingham with
Pastor Robert Quarterman officiating. Mrs. Wilson will lie in state from 10 a.m.

Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to Fellowship Bible Church of Effingham,
841 Old Dixie Hwy., Springfield, GA 31329.
