SAVANNAH: Mrs. Virginia Marie Hood, 80, was called Home on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mrs. Hood lived in Savannah for 45 years and was a member of Ellabell Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughters, Estella Nelson and Janet Utley; grandchildren, Valerie Storey (Keith), Chelsea and Cameron Utley and Diane Hood; brother, Johnny and Faye Cobb and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
A graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, GA.
