Virginia Orendorff Wilson

December 8, 1945 — June 10, 2026

Springfield – Virginia Orendorff Wilson, 80, passed away June 10, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Virginia was a loving, loyal life partner, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She would graciously put everyones needs above her own. She taught her family and friends the value of honesty and what showing up for others looked like. She never backed down from a challenge and there wasn’t anything that she couldn’t fix or build. In her younger years she could be found on the ball field, wherever people gathered, you could find her on the dance floor. She loved to fish, loved gardening and was an all around lover of nature. She was always ready for a road trip, and was known as the original Road Runner. Most importantly, Virginia was the heart of her family and being with them was her favorite activity of them all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bartow Orendorff, Sr. and Virginia Riggs Orendorff; daughter, Lynn Wilson Bishop; grandson, Chris Miller; brother, Bartow Orendorff, Jr.; and sister, Toni Orendorff.

Survivors include her partner Susan Evans; daughters, Terri Miller (Tim) and Traci McNeely (Leigh); grandchildren, Michael Miller (Vicki), Meghan Faller (Andrew), Zachary Miller (TeAnn), Daniel Bishop (Taylor), Abbigale Parker (Noah), Alexis Reynolds (Alex), Natalie Miller, and Ryleigh McNeely; great-grandchildren, Matthew Gardner, Madison Gardner, Colt Faller, Addalynn Parker, Emerson Reynolds, Samuel Miller, Hudson Bishop; sisters, Marie May, Maryann Brown, Gail White, and Toni Godown; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 noon Sunday, June 14, 2026 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 12 noon in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
