Virginia Rae Exley Shuman

Virginia Rae Exley Shuman, 82, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the Marsh at Carolina Park.

She was a longtime member of Port Wentworth United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and a Sunday School Teacher and Bible Study Leader. She was a wonderful mother and devoted Nana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray N. and Mary H. Exley; her brother Nesbit Exley; and her husband of 52 years, Joseph L. Shuman.

Survivors include her daughters and their families; Dana and Mark Glover, and Julie and James Martin; grandchildren, Ashlyn Glover, Luke Martin and Avery Martin; great-grandchildren, Lakeston Thomas and Maysten Thomas; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services: 11 am Saturday, November 15, 2025 in Springfield Cemetery.

Remembrances may be given to Port Wentworth United Methodist Church.
