Vivian Jerolean Butler Ambrose
Pineora – Vivian Jerolean Butler Ambrose, 83, passed away September 14, 2017.
The Liberty County native was a lifelong member of Pineora Baptist Church. She retired from Effingham County Board of Education after 34 years as a bus driver.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Paul Hamp Ambrose, parents, Ross and Alma Kicklighter Butler; brother, Earl Butler; sister, Anna Laura; and daughter, Vivian Ambrose.
Survivors include her children, Donald (Sonnia) Ambrose of Guyton, Betty Jo Andronikos of Savannah; Patty (Gary) Nichols of Guyton, Bret (Lisa) Ambrose of Riceboro, and Hal (Holly) Ambrose of Faulkville; brothers, Warnell (Linda) Butler and Thad Butler all of Pineora; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jerry was a devout Christian, Sunday School Teacher, choir member, fantastic fisherman, wonderful cook, and loving mother, grandmother,great-grandmother, and friend.
She impacted so many lives and will be forever remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Pineora Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in Elkins Cemetery.
