W. Glenn Mock
Guyton – W. Glenn Mock, 78, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Memorial Health.
The Screven County native was a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon where he was an active Deacon and past member of New Providence Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for 30 years. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 37 years. He was an avid gardener and woodworker.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara P. Mock of Guyton; daughters, Michelle (Jim) Head of Rincon and Jenny (Jason) Griffith of Guyton; grandchildren, Avery Lockett, Reilynn Head, Cali and Addy Griffith; sister, Clarice Groby of Cochran; sisters-in-law, Etta Mock of Charleston, SC and Vera Bazemore of Sylvania; half-sister, Geraldine (Johnny) Patterson of Atlanta; half-brothers, Chris (Pat) Davis of Ladson, SC and Randy Davis of Johns Island, SC; a number of nieces and nephews; "many adopted sons and daughters"; and numerous friends.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Rincon.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
Remembrances may be given to First Baptist Church of Rincon, 201 E. 6th St., Rincon, GA 31326.
