Pooler-Mr. Wade Hardy Waters, 82, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at his
home surrounded by his family and under the care of Odyssey Healthcare.

Mr. Waters was born in Screven County to the late Carrie Brant Waters and Clyde Hardy
Waters and was raised in McDonald Baptist Church. Mr. Waters was a long time
member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Pooler and he served in several positions
of District leadership He was active as a lay speaker. He was a member of the Citizens
Advisory Board of the Savannah River Site and served two years as the chair. This
position led to membership of the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council. He served
his country in the United States Marine Corp during World War II in the Pacific Theater
and after completing his education at Georgia Teachers College he returned to the Marine
Corp as a pilot flying close air support during the Korean Conflict, "Semper Fi".

Survivors include his wife, Linda; children, Karen Waters, Leslie Walker (Robbie), Steve
Waters (Terri), Donna Razuri, Chris Waters (Amanda), Joe Waters, Fran Strickland, Liz
Holbrook (Matt) and Devin Waters (Natalie); two step-daughters, Diane Carter and Dara
Sinclair (Ken); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Parker
of Savannah, Regis Thompson of Sylvania and Bernice Jefferson of Pembroke Pines, FL;
brother, Lavaughn Waters of Screven County and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 5 at the funeral home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 6 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 320 Benton
Drive, Pooler, GA. with private entombment to follow.
