Wallace Jackson (Jack) Parrish, Jr.
Rincon – Wallace Jackson (Jack) Parrish, Jr., 59, passed away suddenly on March 8, 2016.
He was born on January 1, 1957. His parents, Wallace Jackson Parrish, Sr. and Theresa Wylene Parrish preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Effingham County High School and attended South Georgia College and Georgia Southern University. He was a member of the Pipefitters Union Local No. 188 and had been employed at International Paper for 25 years. Jack was a member of Rincon United Methodist Church. He was an avid sports fan and had a special place in his heart for the Atlanta Braves and the GSU Eagles.
His survivors include two sisters, Patricia (Charles) Pace and Jane (Jimmy) Zittrouer both of Springfield, GA; and a brother, Harmon Parrish of Rincon, GA; three nephews, Chad (Amber) Pace of Springfield, GA, Craig (Casey) Pace of Brunswick, GA, Chris (Tesh) Pace of Tulsa, OK; and one niece, April Frost of Lyons, GA; six great-nephews; and three great-nieces.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Rincon United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow in Rincon Cemetery.
