Faulkville-Mr. Wallace "Ball" Thomas, Sr., 69, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mr. Thomas was born in Baxley to the late William Frank Thomas and Ruby Pearl Thomas. He retired from Carpenters & Millwright Local 256. He was a member of Faulkville Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Eldora Thomas; children, Melanie Thomas (David Perdue) and Wallace Thomas, Jr. (Christy); grandchildren, Brittany Thomas and Jason McCullough; great-grandson, Nicholas Thomas; three brothers, Jerry Thomas (Ailene), Randall Thomas (Linda) and Rudolph Thomas (Jeanne); three sisters, Gladys Carter, Frankie Mae Tillman (Carl) and Nell Carter and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home.
The funeral to honor Mr. Thomas' life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Albert Hill officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery in Appling County.
