Walter A. Armour
Rincon- Walter A. Armour, 76, died Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
The St. George, SC native was a member of Ashley First Baptist Church of Charleston, South Carolina. After graduating from St. George High School in 1958, he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves and then proudly served 4 years in the Marine Corps. After an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he began his career in the trucking industry where he worked until he retired in 2004 as co-owner of K & A Agency. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ralphine Armour; his parents, Walter W. and Josephine Smith Armour; and a sister, Peggi Armour Grice.
Survivors include his daughters, Sherri Price (Rickey) and Shoni Fritts (Adam); grandsons, Shawn Fischer and Chandler Fritts; 2 sisters, Betty Nelson (Jim) and Becky Colson (J.T.); loving companion, Beverly Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 2 pm Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens
