Walter E. "Ed" Goudelock

Evans, GA- Walter E. "Ed" Goudelock, 71, died Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

The Norfolk, VA  native was a 1965 graduate of Gainesville High School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1969 and his MBA in 1973. He was married to Gwen Zeigler in1969 at Jerusalem Lutheran Church.  Ed was an associate member of the Georgia Salzburger Society.  He had served in the US Air Force Medical Corp. and served as a Judge Referee for U.S. Rowing.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Leoda Goudelock; sister, Selmar G. Hill; and great-granddaughter, Raelyn A. Russell.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Z. "Gwen" Goudelock; children, Paula M. Russell (Richard) and John W. Goudelock (Nicole); grandchildren, Kevin D. Russell (Destinie), Kyle E. Russell (Eden), and Austin G. Russell; a great-granddaughter, Luella A. Russell; and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Visitation: 2:30 – 3:30 pm Sunday, January 20, 2019 in the funeral home.

Graveside Service: 4 pm Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
