Mrs. Wanda Mareese Bazemore Stone, 77, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her home.

Wanda was born in Screven County to the late H.A. and Edell Bazemore.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Homer Blackburn, Jr., as well as her second husband, Dennis Allen Stone.  She was a member of Bible Baptist Church where she had formerly served as a secretary and a Sunday school teacher.  She was a homemaker and will be remembered as always enjoying the time spent with her family.

Survivors include three children, Jack H. "Jay" Blackburn, III (Ruth), Jennifer Gale (Stephen) and Brooks Blackburn (Brandi); grandchildren, Jacob Smith, William Blackburn, Heather Gale, Brighton Gale, Ben Blackburn, and Lilly Blackburn; great-granddaughter, Violet Gale; siblings, Ronnie Bazemore, Arnold Bazemore, Regis Dubois, Judy Brannen, and Cherry Roberts, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to the Middleground Baptist Church

The graveside funeral and burial will be on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 12 noon at Middleground Baptist Church Cemetery located at 213 Middle Ground Church Road, Sylvania, GA.
