Guyton- Wayne R. Cross, 84, died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Memorial Health.
The Midville, GA native was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God. He had retired from Union Camp and Operating Engineers Local 474, was an avid fisherman, and loved baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Herndon Cross; children, Nancy Morgan (Carl), Miriam Cross, David Cross, and Marshall Cross; step-children, Michael Herndon (Daphne) and Lisa Knott (Steve); grandchildren, Scott Rich, Jonathan Cross, Forest Cross, and Leah Grace; two brothers, Hartwell Cross and Larry Cross; step-grandchildren, Joseph Herndon, Tim Herndon, Rachel Cowart, and Hannah Knott; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Monday, October 20, 2014 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens
