Guyton – Wayne Keith "Woody" Woodruff, 69, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at his home.

The Savannah native was a retired driver with the Chatham Area Transit Authority. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Woody was a volunteer fireman with South Effingham Fire Department. He loved crabbing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Keith Woodruff; his mother and daddy, Cacelia Woodruff Sheffield & John Sheffield; his daughter, Marilyn Woodruff Miller; two grandsons, Wesley Miller & Phillip DeLoach; a brother, John Sheffield, Jr.; and sister, Wilma Woodruff Bragg.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Coxwell Woodruff; daughter, Angela Woodruff DeLoach (Paul); grandson/son, Devin Miller (Emily); grandchildren, Austin DeLoach (Mallory), and Peyton DeLoach; great-grandchildren, A'Lisa Ansell, RynLeigh DeLoach, Forest & Lilly Miller; brothers, Melvin Sheffield (Sharon) and Robert Sheffield (Ann); father-in-law, Wesley Coxwell; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation: 10 – 11 am Monday June 17, 2024 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 am Monday, June 17, 2024 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Hillcrest West
