Mr. W.C. "Billy" Hinely

Port Wentworth-Mr. W.C. "Billy" Hinely, 83, died on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at
his home.

Mr. Hinely was born in Chatham County to the late Joseph E., Sr. and Willie Mae Hinely.
He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth, attended the Pioneers
Sunday School Class and was a former Deacon. He was a member of the Frank F. Baker
Masonic Lodge, #46 F&AM, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the International
Association of Machinists. He retired from Stone Container and served his country in the
United States Air Force. He was the past president of the local machinists union and past
business agent for the union. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Roberts
Hinely, a daughter, Mary Eileen Hinely, a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Mae Hinely, a
brother, Ernest "Joe" Hinely and a sister, Deborah Hinely Edwards .

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Debra & Ernie Stanhope of Port
Wentworth; two sons and daughters-in-law, John R. & Leigh Hinely of Pooler and James
W. & Christina Hinely of Elgin, SC; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;
sister-in-law, Katherine Hinely of Garden City and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 3-5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 a.m. on Monday at the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth. Mr. Hinely
will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. at the Church. Burial will follow at Springfield
Cemetery.
