Wilbert Brannen, Sr.

Mr. Wilbert Brannen, Sr., 73, of Ellabell, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at his home.

Wilbert was a deacon and member of the St. John Divine Baptist Church, and had been employed at Strickland Oil Company/Strickland Propane since 1969. Wilbert will be remembered for being a loving father with a big heart. He brought laughter and smiles to his family and friends.

Wilbert will be missed by his beloved family, including children, Adriane Brannen, Angela Wright (Marcus), Denise Brannen, and Wilbert Brannen, Jr.; grandchildren, Brittany Brannen, Devonta Mitchell, Asianna Brannen, Symaria Brannen, Alexis Wright, Laquishia Wright, and Peyton Brannen; great-grandchildren, Chase Beasley, Koa Hunter, Aleia Hunter, Asad Mitchell, Sani Mitchell, and Mia Fluker; brother, Dan Jones (Val); sisters, Diane Jones, Deborah Jones, Denise Jones, and Lenora Brannen; mother of Wilbert’s children, Evalena B. Moody, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The wake for Wilbert will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Wilbert’s life will be on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Seabrooks Cemetery.
