William H. "Bill" Bishop
Guyton- William H. "Bill" Bishop, 74, died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Memorial Health.
The Allentown, Pennsylvania native was retired from law enforcement having worked in DeKalb and Athens-Clarke County. Bill served the community at South Effingham High School and he was an organ donor. He was preceded in death by his son, Tyler Tipton and his granddaughter, Macie Criswell.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Bishop; children, Bill Bishop, II (Angie), Stephanie Gross ( Jim), Kelly Bishop (Lori), Wade Bishop, Jeffrey Winkleman, Jessica "Niki" Criswell (Geromy), Gray Tipton (Laura), Sage Tipton, and Jedidiah Bishop; three sisters, Carol, Claire, and Linda; sister-in-law, Linda; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation: 6-7 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in the funeral home.
Memorial Service: 7 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in the funeral home chapel.
