William I. (Bill) Reese, Jr. - 81, went home to be reunited with his wife of 55 years, Evelyn Reese on October 1, 2011 after a short battle with cancer.



He was a U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard veteran, retired after 36 years of service to our country as an aircraft technician with the 165th Tactical Airlift Group, Ga. Air National Guard. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends and family, and working in his vegetable garden and yard.



He is survived by his loving daughters, Janet Reese and Susan Rogers (Charles); two grandaughters, Kendal Rogers Cook (Jonathan) and Haley Rogers; siblings, Jimmy Reese (Marilyn), Frances Mulcay, and Johnny Reese (Inez); and many nieces and nephews.



Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.



Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
